David is a Clinical Psychologist who has worked across various sectors within tertiary public mental health, including acute adult outpatient services and specialist eating disorder services. He has experience working with a range of mental health experiences including depressive disorders, bipolar, psychotic disorders, and personality disorders. David has a keen interest in working with anxiety disorders and eating disorders.
David values being authentic and relatable as a therapist, and finds it important that his clients feel safe and understood without judgement. His approach is accepting, warm, and client centred, working collaboratively to develop a shared understanding of past and present experiences. He likes to be flexible with his therapeutic approach, being thoughtful and considerate with what approach will be most effective at any time. David also likes to bring in lightness and humour at times, his favourite analogies often deriving from Harry Potter, Seinfeld, and reality TV references.
David is available at the Victorian Psychology Clinic on Thursday and Fridays. In balancing his role at the VPC, David also works in the public sector as an Eating Disorders Specialist.
