Sian is a registered psychologist who began her career as a counsellor and psychotherapist in 2018, before completing a psychology internship (2019 – 2022). Sian has worked in private practice in rural and metro settings over the past 6 years and has had the privilege of working with a wonderfully diverse group of clients.
Sian’s therapeutic approach is based upon the genuine relationship she fosters with her clients built upon warmth, respect, empathy, and compassion. It is her philosophy that true therapeutic change requires the safety and containment of this unique relationship and that there is no “one-size-fits-all” when it comes to therapy. Rather, Sian prefers to assess the individual client’s wants, needs and therapeutic goals and work towards these in a collaborative style, drawing upon her knowledge of evidence-based therapies. Sian hopes that her clients leave feeling heard, valued, and empowered.
Sian has obtained a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology (University of Melbourne) and a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Australian College of Applied Psychology).
