After completing her studies in England, Kerrie relocated to Australia in 2013. Throughout her career, she has worked with individuals, groups, families and couples, across a number of different service offerings. Her professional experience includes private clinics and organisations, school-based support, and community / public services. She has been fortunate to have progressed into management positions, her most recent being the COO of a National Allied Health service provider. This allowed her to support other Allied Health clinicians in their professional development and in contributing to the overall service delivery model. As a therapist, Kerrie is a strong believer of the client being the true expert on themselves and what they are experiencing, and that she possesses a unique set of skills and tools to support them.
She approaches every session with respect and curiosity, and any client can expect a collaboration in the therapy room. With a focus on building therapeutic momentum, Kerrie aims to ensure that progress extends from the therapy room and is supported to occur in the client’s everyday life. She also ensures that client achievements are celebrated along the way, no matter how small or difficult they may be to see at first.
Kerrie has achieved a Foundation Degree in Science (Applied Psychology) and a Bachelor of Science degree (Honours) in Psychology, with accreditation from the British Psychological Society. She is a trained Behaviour Technician through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and has completed the Level 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy (The Gottman Institute).
